Did the race this weekend, apart from the balls up at the start when basically the entire filed took a wrong turn off due to the moron waving as past the actual route, it was a awesome ride in the oak valley. Lots of ST and awesome scenery.

Any huibbers know if there is a website to view result/pics etc ????

I only entered because I saw them putting the signs up the day before and seeing as Oak Valley is my favourite trail i though I'd give the 50km a go. That was my first race and i really enjoyed it. It was made quite amusing (for me and a few others) by the guy who waved everyone else past the right turn a few km's in. I think I led for the next few km's and it was only after 25km's that the inevitable happened and I got overtaken by the top guys. Every time I looked over my shoulder and saw nobody catching up my ego inflated that bit more and pacing myself kind of went out the window.

according to entrytime results will be on their website today...I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but I miss the organisation from PPA / Racetec, who would have already had the results up by Saturday evening...

lovely ride, though...

I really wouldn't put too much faith in the results cos the top 50km guys only came past me after 15km of my 30km ride, and quite a few just skipped the single track cos the slower 50km were all riding slowly in single file... apparently next year they will start further apart and there will be a different route...

Still my favourite race though!

I had the same situation on the 30km - I was the first person to take the right route... quite a rush being in the lead of a race, even if only for 10km or so! :)

I was in the leading break away of 5 from the start and I still dont know where we went wrong. We got so lost we went back to the start and started again. I flew down from JHB for the race and really enjoyed it, reckon I will do it again next year but make sure I ride the first 5km or so before so this mess up doesnt happen again.

There was a marshall pointing everyone to go straight ahead at about 5km but there were two (yellow and blue) arrows pointing right with the white 12km route arrow pointing straight ahead. I asked why he was sending the people straight and he said white was straight ahead. I pointed out my board was blue and seemed like he couldn't see it cos it was very pale. The arrows were on a pole on the left but weren't obvious to see at speed.
