Ok so by my own admission i know nothing about the team or the corporation (Rabobank) but does no one else think this might just have been a very opportune moment for Rabobank to exit the sport of cycling? The teams doesn't have a particularly dirty past does it?

What would the general public think if they had just ended their sponsorship at the end of a regular season after all these years?

Is this an easy way they can step out, and no look bad? Apologies if this thought has been posted before.

Maybe less money in the sport will make it more honest?

It will also mean that a lot of the riders in the fringe teams will loose their jobs as professional riders, forcing them to do other jobs and eventually giving up their dreams of being professional riders.

This will put this sport back more than 30 years. I also sincerely hope that some of the guys in the sport's governing bodies loose their jobs for not getting rid of doping in a more thoughtfull manner. Like in medieval times, when they found a witch in a village they burnt the whole village. They are doing the same here I am afraid.

What happened is tragic, but 1 team pulling out is not the end of the world. I will start getting upset when the TDF is cancelled because of this, but it probably will not. Next year we will all be watching TDF again. It is painful but cycling will survive.

Very sad day indeed! Le Tour is just not going to look the same without the orange and blue. If the USADA's mission was to shut down professional cycling in their witch hunt then they may actually succeed thumbdown.gif
