Look - the rant is a bit tongue-in-cheek, the guy is fine and obviously likes his bike this way. I put it up because it looks so incongruous & thought it would get a reaction. Bit of fun. But this??? This??? Tell me its not a crime worse than socks and sandals; or tell us what you've seen that's worse. The most uncool part of that bike is the number of spacers under the stem, not the handlebars. If you are riding tubbies you would need a spare tyre which you would leave at home and just call someone when you get a flat. I have something called a Poc-Pac which holds a spare tube, levers and bombs and it goes in my jerseys back pocket in the middle to balance my weight on the bike. My 2nd pocket on my left is for my munchies and the 3rd pocket on my right is for my cell because I'm right handed. Don't like having stuff in my back pockets and it pulls your top down so only carry my cell in my back pocket.
