Slowbee, what time? If its early morning then I'm up to it. My daughter & her gran want to go up Table Mountain so this could be a win-win situation for us. I ride I while they do site seeing.

My company has decided that it is the perfect day for our Management Year End, so if the ride is early enough, I can do it and still arrive "fashionably late" at the work do.

Heck last yr some mad oke did it on a downhill bike, which was very impressive at a hefty 20 odd kg bike !!

 

That mad oke was me! Cycled in from Wynberg. All 25kg of bike. With Super Tacky tires. Damn, was I stuffed!

What I want to know from you guys who live and travel in CT Town, is it easier to meet at the Castle Parking Lot, or the Sea Point Virgin Active ?

 

I feel if we have kids with us, leaving from town as a group will be OK, it is just returning when you are on your own that is a worry. Would it not be safer from Sea Point Virgin Active ?

From my limited knowledge, I would say VA is the safer bet. Traffic around Castle gets quite hectic (Taxis and all).

So same as last year then, some place, same route. Just need to sort a decent time out. Say leave VA at 09H00. Gives everyone a chance to get there form out of town, or is that too late ?
