Seems we might even get some rain, should make the 350m gravel section even more interesting

Yeap, rain we could get. Prefer wet weather to flipping hot weather.

And don’t forget that: “There shall be wind!”

At the portage – well let’s just say that it could/will/ must be a great photo opportunity!

And at the end of the DC, if we are caught with a tear in our eyes, we just insist on: “it’s the bloody teargas; those trigger-happy cops and their pepper spray…”

I would like to know if it is possible to ride the portage zone, I'm sure many will agree that a 350m long walk on gravel will ruin their carbon slippers. I am not going to walk in mine. Anybody know if we can ride it?

Otherwise we can put in a splash pool at the 30 Minute Stop-Go and call it a Triathlon.

Thanks ;-)

I read that it is a compulsory portage zone with disqualification for riding but I can't find that bit now.

Thank goodness my new bike is a made for portage at 6.7kg!

Don't most protesters take the weekends off to rest from their gruelling schedule? This seemed the case for the truckdrivers anyway...

Weekends are for "socialising" not hard work like protesting...

Any knowledge on whether or not there are neutral water points on the course other than at 34km (SOILL Rehydration Zone) and the Esky handover at 63km (Feed station)?

From what I can find out there are the support zones where your car can feed you but nothing by way of water or coke tables.

Am I wrong?

There is so much to read, but from what I understand is that there is a Support Zone at the steel bridge before Bonnie Vale (about 150km) and another @ Drew Hall (about 175km). I think that these are water/coke tables.
