Just a pity most of these so called "farmworkers" are not actually farmworkers but people bussed in from other areas, some even from Cape Town.

These savages has no other mandate than to disrupt and burn and pillage. Doubt very much they will listen to an request not to disrupt a few "elitest, white okes on their bicycles out for a lekker ride"

Might even inspire them to disrupt the race as much as possible. Remember, this is the "have nots againts the have's"

My gosh ! In which era , planet are you from ?? " savages " Elitest white okes !!! offtopic.gif

Was so cool to see SA champ, Rob Hunter, in the mix today with that cool SA jersey.

Got such a awsome picture of Robbie. Would have to rate as one of the top pics of all my cycling images local and International. ABSA can give me big moola for itlaugh.png will post it soon. Well done to everyone. Weather was insane. Never knew swellendam could have such crappy weather. Edited by Capcha Photography

Got shelled at 30km! Avg speed to bottom of tradouws was 50! Rode to finish solo in 5h41. Honest days work

I'm built for hills not flats. First 20km I was sitting at a shade under 6w/kg just trying to hold a pace line

Never been raped so badly in my life beforr

Rolled off @ o5h53.

Started off good.

Problems,

1. Team mates chain dropped @ the bottom of Tradouw pass, stopped with him to help.

2. Relising he could not climb very well.

3. I fly up Tradouws pass catching the team @ the first water stop.

4. Going down into I see the mate struggles to keep up with our pace, again I help him onto On Tradouw.

5. chasing on ahead to join up again with the team, catching them @ 2nd water stop.

6. Slip up when chosing to take a leak, team leaves me behind.

7. Rain starts, Spinning up the hills and flying down othersides, catching up to the team for the third time as they approach Montagu.

8. On leaving Ashton I struggle against the wind with no legs.

9. Chasing along for the remainder of the route to Finnish 15mins off the team.

Time 7h30, total distance 207km.

Max speed 78km.

Ascent 2000m.

Calories 4100.

Drinks

2liters GU

Well done to everyone who rode and finished! That was a weather induced tougher than normal 200 clicks, even if you were just riding socially! Don't think I've ever been so happy to get to the traffic circle at Robertson!

post-7550-0-49318800-1353824042_thumb.jpgSo excuse the quality but had to drop image from 9.1m to 890kb so deteriorated quite a bit. Anyway, this is not a staged or posed image. This is Robbie pulling 3 guys up the hill. They are not pushing, they are all holding on to each other with Robbie powering in front. I think thats why I like it so much because its like a diesel locamotive just powering away in the front. Edited by Capcha Photography
