Lion Man is no more!

Due to new management at Mabalingwe & ownership problems the "Lion Man" event as it has become known will no longer take place.

 

Instead we have replaced it with a new addition to the MTN National MTB Series Driven by Nissan at Rooiberg (Formally known as the Rooiberg Eco ride)

Haven't done LionMan but 2012 Rooiberg 75 was an awesome first mtb race for me.

Bumping this one... Haven't had a chance to throw my tantrum. So here goes;

 

That really sucks! Lion Man was my first ever race. Still rode with my wife and we were super proud of our 3 hour 35km.

 

It was also an awesome camping weekend with great mates! An annual tradition on our social calendar.

 

So, from my side, here's a big screw you tot the new management.

Rooiberg is tough. I haven't done the race but I've done some riding in the area. Monster climbs and very sandy! So... should be great fun!
