Morewood 650b vs Pyga 650b

I see both companies are planning / testing 650b bikes. Morewood's will be an upscaled Zula and Pyga's a downscaled One-ten. No doubt that both will be good bikes, but I wonder which one will be the better one? Does anyone have any extra info on the bikes?

What I know / heard so far: The Pyga will be a 120mm bike with a slightly slacker head angle than the 29er. A longer travel version is planned for later.

Important question ... who will have theirs out first ... I recon PYGA considering how long it took MW to get the Sukuma out.

and will Morewood manufacture locally while PYGA outsource to the far east?

Morewood are apparently trying to bring everything back in house (I think the split pivot morewoods are made in the east). PYGA is all done in the east.

Now I'd low to compare these two machines on the trails first hand.

The MW does look better at first glance

So the Morewood 650b will be a dual susser and the Pyga wil be hardtail?

No No. Pyga are doing a 120 (the bike you see in the picture), 135 and rumour has it a 150mm 650B. Damn nice looking bikes.

Isn't the Zula a 100mm travel machine? So perhaps more racey than any of the PYGA 650B's, which are more trail/ marathon bikes...

R16000 for Pyga.

Ja and if the retail price of a Makulu frame is anything to go by expect the Zula to be significantly more expensive.

I suspect Morewood without Patrick is a dead horse. Lets face it theres been nothing forthcomming from Morewood since he left, and his first toy the Pyga is already a hit.

I dont think the morewood brand will last too long to be honest.
