Quite a nice spot the guys have there, but you still have 50km to get home from there...this is after doing 70 odd already and most of the climbing. Good day out thoughOne of these days when your in for some hill training come with us. we park at Mogallywood Pub, then ride from there (short 6km dirt rd to the pub). we do both sides of the nek twice then head back to mogallywood. Over 1000m climbing in approx 35km. Beer tastes great afterwards.

Beer tastes great afterwards.Actually we thought of another plan...although yours isn't bad...take the bakkie to the top of the nek...do hill repeats...up over up over up over until we puke. have a cooler box on standby, and then tan a tjoppie at the top before heading home. I think i would have found a nice shady spot under a tree and had a snooze. Any riding plans next week / weekend? I'm on leave from Friday.
Swift01 Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Got the stats for the hill climbing session. I rode from Mogallywood pub, up and over both sides of the Nek twice then rode back to Mogallywood pub, then realised it was before 10am so I rode back to the base of the short side of the Nek to wait for the GF. Switched off the garmin there. That came to 44km and 1300m climbing, so your looking at approx 35km and 1100m.Do not bring sprinting legs just climbing and beer drinking.

Wyatt Earp Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Ja but you know how its gonna go...jcza sits halfwheel in front, I do the same, you then respond, wash rinse repeat...and before we know it it we are going full gas down that dirt road. Matches burnt before we even reach breedts. We are guys ffs, everything is race. But seriously, I have to take it very easy to do the base thing right for j2c. If it was singletrack well then I just can't help myself but have to focus a bit. Ahhhh, so JCZA is a half wheeler Thanks for letting us know

I help them catch rouxtjie, I lose my bottle & bracket, stop to retrieve and boom they're gone! Rode like the wind to catch them but catch them I did!  Hey Kevin I never realised you were a hubber, thanks for pulling me home!
