I somehow doubt that it is that kind of a agreement. Wiggo is to much of a self entitled ass wipe to have a gentleman's agreement like that. I also highly doubt Froome will take matters into own hands to the disadvantage of his team leader. It's sad for Froome but he's still under contract for two years and while he's there he'll ride for Wiggo. Money talks. With Froome riding in support of Wiggo Sky will once again be a force to be reckoned with. Nobody will just walk over them. That being said, with the likes of Contador, Purito, Valverde and Schleck along with ( the very disapointing 2012 competitors) Nibali and the Evans and Tejay combo there I'm expecting a lot more action. They were on the same team, La Vie Claire. Hinault promised Lemond support in 1986, provided that Lemond would ride support in 1985. Things didn't turn out quite that way. The reality is that it takes a champion to win the Tour, and a champion's mentality is to win. No champion wants to ride support. If they are happy to ride support, they don't have the mentality to win. Two champions on one team is always a problem. It's good for neither. Froome rode support. I'm not convinced he was happy, but he's always polite. Recently there was Sastre/Schleck in 2008. Before Hinault/Lemond it was Hinault/Fignon, but 1985 and 1986 were dramatic. It just doesn't work. The no.2 ranked rider in the world, 4 olympic gold medals (7 in total), arguably the world's best time trialer at the moment, will be named a favourite to win any of the grand tour events he enters this year (no matter which one he decides to line up at the start for), an incredible pedigree in track cycling, can more than hold his own in the big climbs of le tour with the best climbers in the business... and he's not world class in your view. For me "class" is a combo of things that not only refers to "on the bike". Your ability, how you conduct yourself off the bike in the eye of the public and your attitude towards your team. If you had to only look at the bike aspect then i think he probably is one of the best but unfortunately that for me is as close to class as he will get. Jens has class...............
