It's like asking which to choose, Selma Hayek or Penelope Cruz. Some would choose Salma, others Penelope.

 

Ride them both, choose which one feels better, they are both good bikes.

I got my XTC in last week, have yet to take her out on a proper trail but loving it so far! I came from a GT Avalanche which i would recommend to anyone looking at the cheaper end!

I've got a GT Expert 29er aand love it to bits, they make nice solid bikes. I have however heard many good things about the XTC's. So all in all my suggestions dont help you one bit!!! ;)

If I go GT would you recommend xt and slx mix or alu xt

Carbon xt/slx - you can upgrade the groupset as time goes by. (i have the zaskar carbon 9r with x9/xo mix and its a much nicer ride than the cannondale flash carbon i owned before it)

What was your choice eventually? Where did u get the GT Zaskar Le 9r expert from? Im very keen on getting that bike too so would love to hear some review?
