I ride oftenish and do a mix of trails and side paths and road. Commute to work sometimes.

How fit and how much technical must i be able to ride to start thinking of doing things like sani2c etc?

There is still more than enough time to get ready for sani2c. I did thw wine to whales quite eaisly with approx 250 - 350km of training per month. Will do sani as well and will prop lift my training a bit. It depends on whether you want to tace it or just complete. if you can do 80km easily then i dont think you will have a problem in completing the ride.

Sani2c I would agree ,a reasonaly fit rider, can do,with maybe 100km a week training for say three months prep.

Anyone done Joberg2c? interested to know how much prep needed for it.I am talking about a person who is more interested in enjoying the ride, not taking to much strain, but still ok middle of the pack pace.

It's not just about getting distance in

Combine base work with strength and interval training to sort out the cardiovascular system.

Also work on stretching exercises to help aid muscle recovery. Make sure to have a good diet that provides enough fuel for your training.

When you combine all of the above you should find yourself ready to complete 80km needing hardly any recovery the next morning.

Now you should be ready.
