Da Vinci Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 All i care about is I haven't wanted too/ havent had the guts to get on my bike since Sani.... :'( We were seeded in the last batch on day one and had the ST to ourselves. Day 2 we made up a batch but also had no major issues, one lady almost stopped in front of me on a steepish descent thru the forest when she came across some rocks but for the rest we mostly flowed, yes we had to temper our speed in places but I think we are competent ST riders and I don't feel we held any1 up either - I certainly don't recall the smell of brakes ( tho I was warned about it). Day 3 made up 2 batches on day 2 and lead a group of 6 or so riders thru the ST next to the river -no one wanted to pass - even tho we gave them the option. So I dunno maybe we just got lucky.

The secret is just to ride in A, B or C batch - you don't get held up, and the decent is more fun in the early morning gloom... to say nothing of staring right into the rising sun at times....Oh is that ALL
Helpmytrap Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 agreed, u riding tomorrow ? But you see SASeeding doesn't import this series..I did ride it today. Was a stuff up though, I was one of the few that did the correct route with no wrong turns. We started passing guys that we knew were behind us, they had turned wrong somewhere and cut off 3km of the route. That aside, what an awesome race. I came in at 52km in 2h06 and was delayed for a minute after hitting the deck at 30km/h 18km in. Plus I rode 21km to get there.
