Have had the same issue with mine - Conti X-King Protection, but theres a video online that shows you that you need to 'paint' the inside of the tyre with sealant before installing.

I did that and rode over 90kms this weekend, still holding pressure. Also missing one knobbly. But really like this tyre and the also way it performs.

One other thing, been using Stans but got a bottle of some bontrager sealant which I used now. Just saying maybe time to try some other sealant. Theres plenty to choose from now.

if you clean the inside first, they will seal up with a healthy dose of stans (there should be enough inside that you can hear it sloshing around). bounce it on floor and make sure the stans splashes all over.

But that i figured out after 3 days - they are a bitch to seal.

Pictures added.

Problem is, these are not new tyres, they were used before on the same rims, never taken off/seal broken.

But it does look like I have won this battle, checked them last night and they were still at the correct pressure. Will drop the pressure tonight to my normal riding pressure of 2 bar and go for a ride, hopefully I do not have to push the bike home again.

Correct, mines missing three knobblies! Canvas bare to the world. Waiting for the first puncture..

take it back, Conti replaced mine under warranty, this is also linked to the leaking look carefully at the sidewall you can see the canvas through the rubber.

Can you pm who you dealt with?

Was it a LBS or did you deal directly with Conti?

Cool thanks! I bought me Contis from EasyBike last week never fitted them yet. Always ran Contis on my 26er best tyres I've used. Bought some to try on the 29er, incase of an issue I'll obviously have to go thru Easybike.

Thanks for the info

I presume the UST Protections will say that on the sidewall!?

If yes, then mine is the "standard" Protections. And there is the problem.

most non ust tyres leak through side walls but with enough stans In a day or two they do seal.Just did Sani on a Xking no issues and its a backyard Duct-tape rim strip.
