Here's their website: http://www.thebigredbarn.co.za/

GPS here: -25.927867,28.229066

Not sure about opening on weekdays, website only talks about weekends, and you must buy tickets from the coffee shop which only opens from 7am on weekends.

There was a big bunch of riders there on Sunday so its well represented. I didnt feel nervous on the ride, so I wouldnt be too concerned about safety, although there are pieces that run right next to factories and I wasnt able to check how well fenced the areas are.

Definitely worth supporting, and agree, definitely worth paying for regardless if they check you or not. So glad I found out about this place and went there! Looking forward to this weekend!

Rode there a couple of weeks back. They've gone through a lot of trouble with the trails and it shows. Really nice flowing singltrack. The black route get's pretty hectic in places. Some scary drop offs. Chucked myself over the handlebars on one of the sections. Trail quality is really good, the only downside is that it's not very aesthetically pleasing. Will definitely be back!

This place will remind you why you fell in love with mountain biking...

If you go slow it's peaceful and relaxing... If you go fast it's mind blowing... Watch the off camber turns and trees in some of the corners...

The slope of the property is on about a 2% gradient... So there are no real climbing sections... Except for a few steep inclines and steepish dropoffs...

Anyone can ride it and have an awesum time

I have to throw my 2c in here. This place is truly a hidden gem. Whoever built these trails paid a LOT of attention to flow. It's serious fun. Nothing crazy technical... A few nice drops and short steep climbs..

I really liked it, and will definitely be back. Also tons for the kiddies if they aren't riding, and a very nice restaurant with nice showers..

Hi guys,

The Barn is amazing.

Just always be tentative,I did a jump, mis judged, and found myself in the emergency rooms this weekend past.

But that won't hold me back,I will be trying again in a week.

Have been riding the Barn for about a year.

Meet up with ppl that know the trail well, and they could show you some true secrets at the Barn. Hidden trail parts ;)

Awesome spot to ride but watch out for these silly new jumps they are popping up all over... Very dry trails now so grip is more challenging to find the corners. Yeah what's up with the pol on speling?

Awesome. flowy trail. I loved it. Rode with Dom, the trail-builder a few weeks back. A really creative trail, especially considering the 2% gradient. Across the river there is also some legendary track. Been back twice already... Its a welcome contrast to Hakahana's technical stuff.... Just fun, Flow. Bliss. Great at speed..
