If I was in the market I will not look elsewhere than one of these... (You might be able to organise just a frame only somehow with Intense..)

Read good things about the Spiders..

And then of course the YT's (Jeffsy maybe ..@ your 29er comments) will be in the pack too.

Edit: this write up make me want to go ride my bike! http://www.bikemag.com/gear/first-impressions-intense-spider-27-5/#mvXPcIFe2Jpo8v31.97

The HA on the Spider 29 is just a bit too steep for what I intend using it for.  Sick bikes though.

plaas se prys...but ja, looks like a winner

Ja en ek kan nie 'n plaas bekostig nie.  My budget is R50k max (which is made possible by the fact that I will already have the Fork).

Dude I rope the Banshee Spitfire and the Phantom (v briefly). Think the Phantom is the big wheel sister to the Spitfire...All I can say is WOW amazing. Climbing was far from bad but descending was absolutely amazing with the Cane Creek on the back. I think R24 000 with the Monarch and R28 000 with the Cane Creek...Worth it IMHO.

To put it in perspective the climbing was not as good as on my Pyga 120 and the descending was noticeably better but not so much that I wanted a new bike (after getting back on mine and fiddling the suspension a smidgen).

For me the 120 is really the perfect all-rounder in and around CT. I cannot fault it to be honest AND it prefers 150mm travel up front anyway which slackens the head angle ever so slightly relative to running it at the recommended 140mm.

The rear has never seemed lacking in travel either so ya...

Your main problem is there are toooo many freaking options :S

Just a correction, Evil Following frame is not that expensive.  Still, the frame alone will pop my entire budget.

Knolly Warden would be a good purchase. chat to Craig at Trailtech.

Better take that back... pink and cyan are manly! Especially if you go fast..

it is not pink, it is magenta!

that part clearly indicates it is a gentleman's colour
