SwissVan Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Well, pan flat stage today, so guess it will be a day for Cav to seek another win. I'll PVR it and watch the last 5 kilometers. I'm kind of hoping he loses and throws his toys again....it brings an added dimension to the show which is not as negative (except to Cav himself) as some of the other doping related stories that keep popping up.
jcza Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 (edited) I see prediction from Bruyneel (yes yes I know) that Froome will put a minute into other GC contenders and 3 minutes into climbers today. He might be a prize knob but he still knows something about cycling Edited July 11, 2013 by jcza
Spark Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 TTT - highest avg speed in TdF historyFroome as fast as LA at his best.Just wondering

Andrew Steer Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 So Quintana made me look stupid. Haha... maybe a little bit. Was not a bad ride though I reckon for a guy his size Can't wait to see what he can do on Alpe d'Huez and Ventoux

dracs Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 (edited) Haha... maybe a little bit. Was not a bad ride though I reckon for a guy his size Can't wait to see what he can do on Alpe d'Huez and Ventoux Ja he may have just a little extra freedom now as well so could be interesting. I based my bold prediction on the fact that he lost only 17 odd seconds to Tony Martin last time they did a TT in the same race - and there he also beat Porte, Contador etc. I don't think it was a particularly mountainous TT, so why the sudden drop in relative form... Maybe it was towards the end of a stage race and he was fresher? Maybe it was a little hillier than you thought... Maybe he just had a bad day? We'll let you off this time, but no more making the fool of me and giving me false hope okay

I found a profile of the Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco TT... It was just a tad hilly... http://www.procyclingstats.com/races/profilesmaps/2013-03/Vuelta-Ciclista-al-Pais-Vasco-Stage-6-ITT-1363982837.png So watch out for him on the stage 17 TT! On second thoughts - no more Hub predictions for me! Edited July 11, 2013 by dracs Andrew Steer and Daideron 2
dev null Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 The finish will be carnage today. I think Sagan will just sit a little back and let the other main sprinters moer each other for the left overs.
Wyatt Earp Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 The tour song of the day today goes to Cav.Hope he has a good sprint finish.

Wyatt Earp Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Do you think he got the message though? He might have, unlike the much bigger knobs one comes across online.
Tumbleweed Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Mark Cavendish @MarkCavendish12mFlat day today into the famous sprint town of Tours. 1st day this @letour that the weather's not been baking hot. Actually quite pleased.
