“We were only 30 minutes into the training ride when it happened,” Fuglsang said Monday in a press release. “We were going about 50k per hour and I couldn’t avoid the crash, but I was luckier than the other two. I am sore all over, but I feel OK to train and am still very motivated to continue.”

Another piece that shows that Quintana is a real threat as the dark horse this year.

How hard was your ride to school as a kid?

"he had to ride down one mountain and up another mountain pass, a mere 16 kilometres long, every time he went to school"

He can also timetrial well & the skyborgs are scared of him and that can only make for some interesting racing. Hope he shakes it up nicely.

I read that special profiling article.

What a story. What talent.

Garmin sending 10 riders:

“I am sending a list of 10. Not nine, but 10, [Thursday], internally for the riders. But I don’t think we’re going to formally announce until Wednesday morning next week,” said Jonathan Vaughters, the sartorial force behind the Garmin-Sharp squad.

Searching for a brother for Andy::

So we at Twisted Spoke are wondering who can play Frank and help his younger brother in this grueling three week sufferfest. Who can he bond with and who will help him along, perhaps trade pulls and keep him up front?

During the final segment of Bradley Wiggins faultless build-up for the 2012 Tour de France - at the Criterium du Dauphiné - Team Sky only once came up against a rider who not only refused to turn over and be beaten, but who also succeeded.
