Eugene Oppelt Posted July 20, 2013 Author Posted July 20, 2013 And here is why Anton took those mountain points ahead of Rolland just now. HIs teammate Mikel Nieve came into the stage only 5 points behind Rolland, who was in second place. So Euskaltel doesn't want Rolland to get any more points, and hopes that Nieve can perhaps win the closing climb to take the polka-dots.
Eugene Oppelt Posted July 20, 2013 Author Posted July 20, 2013 The lead group now has a gap of only 58 secnds as the peloton comes to the sprint. Greipel took the next remaining points. Flecha was the first across the line for the lead group.
Eugene Oppelt Posted July 20, 2013 Author Posted July 20, 2013 Pace is high. The finishing summit is a HC climb. :-O
Stretch Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 if quintana or froome take the hc climb will they steal the polka from Rolland? or does he have to take the cat 1 to avoid that? anyone know
Eugene Oppelt Posted July 20, 2013 Author Posted July 20, 2013 Movistar continues to lead the peloton, only 55 seconds behind the break group.
Eugene Oppelt Posted July 20, 2013 Author Posted July 20, 2013 There is now a 10km long descent, followed by, what else, the next climb.
Eugene Oppelt Posted July 20, 2013 Author Posted July 20, 2013 if quintana or froome take the hc climb will they steal the polka from Rolland? or does he have to take the cat 1 to avoid that? anyone know The yellow (Froome) and white (Quintana) jersey is higher in the order of things. The next best rider will earn the jersey. Right now, Nieve and Rolland are contesting. The one that takes the final coming will earn the polka dotted jersey.

Eugene Oppelt Posted July 20, 2013 Author Posted July 20, 2013 Voigt doesn't want the group to get caught and pulls them up the next climb. The group splinters and he is the lead rider at 1:34". Machine! TALUS 1
