Proving my ignorance but cannot help to be totally amazed - these guys hammer out 450+ watts for hours on end and then ramp it up for the sprint!!! Jeezz

Very special show by Cannondale Pro Cycling.

One to remember.

Definitely one to remember. For a supposedly "routine stage" is one of the best I've ever seen. Probably made so much more interesting with our own in yellow, but great display by Cannondale. I'm not as much of a Sagan man as yourself, but I would've been very annoyed if the didn't get the win. (Or maybe I would've argued, Aaag that's sport :-)

How strong is Impey in the mountains?

He's not a slouch uphill, but also not a contender. Doubt he'll keep yellow after today.

Daryl must do a ride of his life to retain the yellow jersey after today. Froome and Contador can put minutes in him on that HC climb. But who knows. They say that the jersey gives you magic powers so I will be supporting him all the way.

I think that Orica will return to their previous objective and aim for stage wins after the high mountains.

I am interested to see how Andy's form is at the moment. The two P's have been going out of their way to talk him up so that should be interesting.

I was impressed with Cannondale yesterday, its seldom one sees such single mindedness in a team without GC ambitions towards a goal and their tactics were great, shelling the sprinters put everything in their favor and they capitalized superbly, it was a great stage to watch.
