I see they do offer to buy the pedals separate if one would break.

However the idea of them being expensive and down there, does make on think about it all the time, around every corner.

They actually very far off the ground. You'll need one hell ova lean angle to hit them in a turn. You'll be sliding down the road long before you scrape them in a turn. I'll venture tha when you do slide, it will be your bars, pedal and rear skewer that takes the damage. (At least that's what I hope).

But don't think you have anything to worry about when crashing.

R22 500 is recommended retail...pretty sure if you shop around the pedals can be purchased at around R18 000

R18k would be super if you can get it at that price. I doubt it with the current Rand levels. These things are brought in, in batches so the very first ones might have been that cheap.

It's the only option where multiple bikes and hoops is applicable though.

That's what insurance is for.... :whistling:

I love this Left/Right power split. I see for the Argus I had 65/35 which is indicative of the south Easter blowing over my left shoulder as we headed south. Meaning I worked harder in my left leg. No surprise I cramped in my left leg by the time I hit Suikerbos.

Must admit I was skeptical about getting into the market to early on these. I felt it was delayed so long there must've been significant issues with it.

BUT, so far do good!

I wouldn't trust those figures.

Check that your pedals are tightened properly and equally (check dcrainmaker's site for installation and torque values). Be very sure that you're using the washers/spacers to prevent the pods/sensors from touching the crank arm.

Pretty sure it's correct as it seems to be consistent with windy rides and 50/50 for the IDT sessions.

Okay, as long as it's 50/50 consistently on non windy rides...

My Edge 500 takes forever to "pick up" the PM when I need to calibrate it and when it starts calibrating it never finishes?

It just says "calibrating" and I stand there like an idiot for 10min. and get no power readings.

Anyone have any clever ideas?

What version of sw on your garmin - I suggest you upgrade it if it is not the latest one that supports the vector properly.

Power source of PM (like battery) needs replacing?

Yep what I thought as well. Replaced the batteries first and SW definitely out of date but I don't have Internet at home (don't ask) at the moment. Canubelieveit?

Thanks very much though.
