Yeah i think it's up there. Hopefully they keep on making this track all the way down. They said there was gonna be extensive work done on Zore to make up for the loss of pleney.

We found a cool steep unmarked trail on the far right hand side of the hill (when looking from the top lift down), although it did deposit you out in Morzine about 700m downstream of the Super-Morzine lift. I really enjoyed Zore and it is relatively undeveloped.

I have to stop coming back to this thread, it's getting me down.

Oh. I think you're talking about best kept secret. You need to be careful on the off piste stuff on Zore. aparently the farmers have been getting pissed off and putting logs and stuff across the tracks.

I've heard that Zore will be the main focus point for trail development in Morzine over the next few years. They are trying to pull people away from the Les Gets staples onto the other side. It really lends itself to if with that lovely constant gradient and being one the way to Chatel, Morgins etc. AAAAAAAAAMPEDDDDDDD!!!!

Eish

I am getting super ampded (3 more weeks)

I am more of a XC and marathon rider who enjoys the technical stuff.

I think a lot of the DH tracks will be wasted on me.

I will be the dude who looks like a lost newbie. Please just point me uphill to the nearest track!

hahaha!

There's uphill... then there's alps UPHILL!

during 2 weeks there I only saw 1 XC rider riding UP the mountain, all others used the lifts. Those are not like the koppies we have in SA. I'd suggest using the lifts and then following the XC trails (there are some demarkated). But riding up to the trails from the town... not a good idea

Thanks, but I was not implying actually riding uphill.

I am all for the lifts.

One of the main reasons we go :D

I seriously want need to learn to do drops (not too big, about 1m) before I go!

looks like lekker riding that one!

There are some drops on Pleney from small to large. The problem is they are RIGHT in front of the lift so if you go down you will get laughed at.

I'll be going next year, similar time.

But I'll make my own plans, don't want to hold you back.

See you on the hill.

It had to happen.

One of the guys in our group broke his wrist 2 days ago.

A little advice for anyone going on a trip like this. Know your limits. stay within those limits. Before and during the trip. You are not going to become a pro overnight and pushing yourself beyond your own ability will only lead to frustration and inevitably. Injury.

He's still coming along but now he's probly going to be riding his trail bike. Doing a bit of Recce for next year.
