It's amazing you do a section of track a million times so you assume you can relax....

Don't be fooled!!

Don't I feel you pain...

Last Friday I hit the mast and had an awesome descent. Until the 2nd last corner on the tar. 48.4kph to 0kph in 6 metres.

3 days in hospital, fractured ribs, collapsed lungs and some damage to the stomach muscles.

Thank goodness nothing serious though, just strong pain killers and highly immobile for 10 days now! All because I've done that path at speed hundreds of times.

Oops, though you were talking about me on the bridge across the beach at Sani, wide and flat on the sand, i sat up, hands off the bar and turned around to look for my partner behind me.............

........but from now on I'm going to feel it every time I go round that corner! Done ribs twice, luckily not run me lungs through, still not fun. Keep still and eat painkillers.

I know that corner well... Can catch you out if you're not careful!

Especially if you run your pressures low, like I do! 2 wheel drift for the win!

Facepalm, climbed up the back of Mpati and on the jeep track heading down to the concrete road just before the cellphone towers. We normally do the route the other way round. Very impressed, have you ridden our track before?

Heard about it from Chris at Triathlon- will make a trip through sometime. He told me it was wicked.
