Check out James Wilson: http://www.bikejames.com/

Probably the most comprehensive site on the net on the subject of mtb specific training. Lots of programs to suit every need. This guy is a genius IMHO. Save the site on your browser, you will want to check in every day.

Do you have to join / pay or order a product from him to see the training programs?

There is stuff that is for free others are for sale. Even if you don't buy anything, very useful site, you pick up a lot of training tips by following his blog. Youtube is full of his mtb training specific exercises for example do a search for mtb specific deadlift or swing or squat and chances are that his videos will pop up.

Come to Umngazi River Bungalows on the Wild Coast for a training camp. Got a route of 33 km with 1200m of climbing and many other routes with very little flat sections. Check out our web site for routes www.umngazi.co.za
