those wheels look nice. What is the diff between the Ascender S and M1800????

Hello!

Ascender S is Citec's tough racing wheel. It uses Concave Rim Technology (the rim has an additional ridge inside and the spoke nipple sits on this concave ridge rather than in the conventional convex (bottom of the "v") part of the rim. It has 18/24 or 24/24 spokes front and rear depending on rider weight. I uses straight pull spokes with Power Block nipples on both ends to reduce stress. Comes with a DT 240S freehub. It weighs 1,680g and it indestructible :-) Check out page 1 for more details.

The M1800AS is Citec's affordable firepower. It uses a similar rim (with Concave Technology) as the Ascender S but is laced to a traditional 32 hub with j-bend double butted spokes. Weight is 2,050g Great for first upgrade and SSer bikes.

Drop me a PM for more info and I'll send you the brochure (don't want to PM spam people so I'll only respond to requests for the brochure).

ONLY STARTING TO WONDER

Clint/DIPSY - if you're gonna be dumb you gotta be tough. Needless to say I fall on the "gotta be tough" side of the spectrum

Eldron what tyres are those? They look like ye olde Town and Country tyres from Conti.

Town and Country tyres was exactly what I was looking for. Don't seem to make them anymore so I opted for the Serfas Drifter.

Nice tyre. Not sure what the weight is but it rolls really nicely and manages to perform adequately on dirt. You're never gonna rail turns on them but you won't die. The bike is mainly for tar commuting but I hit footpaths and pavements wherever I can and the tyres are up to the job.

Maybe there is an OEM deal, or Conti sold the mould? Either way you could have done worse. I did a few weekend warrior rides(races) on T7C's back in the day..

Dumb - i did a double lap on my road bike @ SBR once in October, did the 2nd lap with a single water bottle and finished it before the last mother climb. Clearly not on the 'gotta be tough' side of the fence?

Hey everyone - poor news...

Prices have just gone up!

I've been resisting the weak Rand for some time now but as new stock arrives at >R15/Euro I can't keep pricing static.

Borborygmi/Armidinho/mpati - your brochures are on the way....
