I was a notorious double poster and those that that can remember when I did it will remember the fun we had. Some liked it, some hated it. I can remember talking to a certain bachelor Hubber at the Kremetart who was exicted out of his skin that he may just meet JoLo.

COUCHPOTATO was also great fun.

I have not double posted for at least the last seven years.

Not to play devils advocate here, but how is that your still able to post and have an account when others get an immediate ban?

Please note that this is not an attack on you but rather the double standards that are taken by ADMIN. Personally I enjoy each and everyone of your posts and the input you give here

I joined the hub because of my sport and to learn more and to chat about cycling etc. The handbag fights are interesting and sometimes it is like a real soapy  Was/is Octavian a cyclist? I know gummi loves Parlee, Wayne is not such a badass as he enjoys time on his newly aquired Mtb with junior in tow, dale is a tar man, tumbleweed cycles for beer and pizza :whistling: , meezo loves it bare :w00t: , big H has a tandem and I wonder if it is pink like that team from the north B) and so the list can go on and on. Looks like maybe Octavian was tired of the hub and decided to go out with a bang but I honestly don't remember if he cycled

Mmmmmmm...pizza and beer...hahaha! Morning, bud. Just came in from an icy ride. Stopped at the Wild Bean on the way back home. They do something called a "ciabatta pizza roll". Cheap, light and inviting on a wintry morn. Left a beer on the patio when I left for the ride. Colder than the ones in the fridge!

About blocking IP addresses, that will never work.

Firstly, an IP address is not unique to a computer or device. It is unique to an Internet connection. So if a colleague and I are both on the Hub, we will have the same IP because we use the same internet connection.

Secondly, you get static and dynamic IP's. Some businesses buy static IP's, which means that IP will remain with them forever. But most businesses and home users have dynamic IP's, meaning an IP is assigned to them each time they connect to the Internet. So to get a new IP, simply restart your router/modem.

Note that the above is talking about Internet IP's and not local network IP's.

After that useless but of info, we can conclude that there really is no way to prevent duplicate accounts. If people want to be silly, they will be

Most of SA runs off dynamic IP's - thanks to Telkom if I'm not mistaken.

Anyways, as stated above blocking IP's is not a viable solution. However, if you're suspicious about duplicate accounts you can certainly use IP's to further your investigation.

The best solution is basically don't be a **** - use one account to say what you mean. If you really need another online buddy then feel free to IM yourself or go make some new friends on Facebook.

Maybe we should have a Wielnaaf TRC and let the COOF COFF peeps facilitate it.

Maybe Big H is the only "honest" double poster. As I posted before, some well know Hubbers are just going to/have already disappeared.

Ja, I moderate on some news sites. It's a beast. We use Disqus, but it is far from ideal. Blacklist a user and they are back within an hour.

I agree, not all are bad.

Hey oom do u even know why you got such a issue with COFBA , could it be that they are all mates and can talk to each other about every day things and and you can't relate to sharing with friends

Not all are bad, some are just rotten. The way they talk down to people and hunt in a pack like rabid wild dogs riles me. Keep your eyes open and you may just notice it. Not good advertisement for an "bunch of like minded mates"

I also hate exclusivity. Things like the Broedersbond, Free Masons and Cough Mixture Club (not COFF COFF) and others, just pisses me off.

Me, I have no alignment and can say what I want within the bounds that we live in. Something the COFF COFF boykies cannot seem to do.

Edit, maybe it s time or me to launch my "like" ...... " dislike" index.
