After watching about 45 minutes last night my wife said she has had enough and it's box time. I'm surprised she lasted so long. She does not usually tolerate weird krap like that (her words) for long and it really was pretty weird... for 44 minutes

I admit I'm still interested in watching but I have no idea what is going on....

That is how Lynch likes it. He said way back then that he does not like to spoon feed the audience. They have to go through a journey watching and try to make up their own minds. Which is why he was upset when ABC forced him to change his script to identify Laura's killer. His original idea was that it was never going to be revealed, and that the core of story was never about who killed her, but rather the circumstances around her death.

Enjoyed Twin Peaks way back. May actually make the effort to watch the new one. Haven't watched a TV series for about 9 years so not sure I can actually sit still that long.

Have I mentioned how great the leftovers is ????????????

Last night's episode was easily in my top 10 of greatest TV episodes ever... And I wasn't the only one who thought that!

When I finished the series finale of The Leftovers, I briefly thought about a career change.

Not just a career change actually. A whole life change. I thought about moving to the middle of nowhere and becoming a farmer or something. I couldn’t imagine a way forward for television, the medium I love so much, after watching that finale. It was so good, so note-perfect, so everything I want in a show. TV was done! Something else would have to fill the gap.

About 30 minutes later, I realized that I probably wasn’t going to become a farmer. But the feeling The Leftovers had evoked in me persisted. I was satisfied, full up on the show’s particular blend of sorrow and joy. I was convinced that if I never see another TV show I felt as passionately about, well, that would be okay, because I’d had The Leftovers.
