Nobody should be cheering for that ***... ;)

I couldn't even make it through the whole of episode 1 it was so boring.

No I enjoy it hey.. again, not something I would normally enjoy, but I just do.. same mystery as the Dwayne Johnson thing.

Pilot for Lucifer has me hooked, am hoping the Concerned Moms of America don't get their way and have the show cancelled because the devil is misrepresented as being too nice. Its your responsibility to raise your kids so leave my TV shows alone!!

Mr Robot is just brilliant.

on episode 6 of Mr Robot. Its frustratingly good.

There's something about the way the protagonist narrates the series.

Reminds me of the way JD Salinger writes.

He is not telling a story to the audience. He is speaking to himself.

An extraordinarily intelligent, socially anxious, borderline schizophrenic, manically depressed, drug addict struggling to navigate his moral compass as he tries to change the world behind the persona of someone who just wants to fit in.

I only fear that a plot premise as compelling as this one might hold the writers back.

It can only continue to be this gripping if the world really does sink into anarchy because of his actions.

SPOILER ALERT

So I intentionally stayed away from this thread and the like to avoid spoilers. I only just caught up on the last 3 episodes in a row and as you can imagine. I did myself a HUGE favour. It was like watching Fight club, Usual Suspects or 6th Sense for the first time. You'd think that we've become accustomed to that old plot twist by now. Like we'd see it coming a mile away. Subconsciously brushing off any suspicion like nah, the writers won't do that again. But they did. And in doing so 'again' they probably deserve greater praise for fooling us with an old bag of tricks.

Maybe a week or so ago I changed my profile signature to the lyrics of Pixies' Where is my mind. Probably a day or 2 before episode 9 aired. (I checked) Purely co-incidental. I was playing some old music a few days back and the song just...struck a nerve. Imagine for a moment my PROFOUND appreciation then when the last episode ended with this

ja..i mentioned in the song thread that I dont like that song (purely because of its annoying association with the pixies - i.e. they have MUCH better songs than that..but that piano version made me see it in a slightly different light..which is always good

I can echo that sentiment for many bands. It's as if they become less appealing after a chart topper.

Watched the first three episodes of "The Lizzie Borden chronicles". I'm quite enjoying it thus far and the bonus.... Christina Ricci is dreamy man.

AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead,” the much-anticipated companion series to megahit zombie drama “The Walking Dead,” opened to monster — and record-setting — ratings of its own own Sunday night.

Nielsen estimates that the 90-minute debut of “Fear the Walking Dead” became the No. 1-rated cable series launch on record with 10.1 million viewers, including 6.3 million adults 18-49. In total viewers, “Fear” surpasses TNT’s “Raising the Bar” (7.7 million in 2008) as top dog among cable premieres.

The previous record in the 18-49 demo was AMC’s “Better Call Saul” (4.4 million) earlier this year. In fact, AMC now has three of the top five cable launches of all time, with “Walking Dead” ranking fifth.

In both 18-49 and total viewers, Sunday’s premiere out-rated all 22 episodes from the first two seasons of “The Walking Dead.” The original’s third-season premiere did a 5.8 demo rating and 10.87 million total viewers.

Leading into the “Fear” premiere Sunday, a special “Talking Dead” season-6 preview episode did a 1.9 rating in 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers overall.

AMC is expected to release Live+3 ratings for “Fear the Walking Dead” and “Talking Dead” on Friday.

“Fear the Walking Dead,” created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson, differentiates itself from the original by being set both in a different place (Los Angeles) and time (at the very beginning of the apocalyptic outbreak). Its cast includes Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane and Ruben Blades.

Helping serve as a seat-warmer for the mothership’s return on Oct. 11, “Fear” will air six episodes in its first season. It was handed a straight-to-series, two-season order by AMC in March. Season two is slated for 2016.
