Rode one of these thing to school, passed it on to my boet and it never stopped working for about 20 years. Same chain, same single gear. Not like the rubbish on offer these days. That bike did some travels and then some. Those brakes never let me down, not even once.

Yeah they are pretty solid hubs, weights a ton. Not for those wanting to build up a weight-weenies wheel.

Used to fix them back when I days when I used to work in the back of a bike shop.. Not the easiest wheels to strip, but very seldom did we ever get the same wheel back for repair.

mmm, need to speak to the post office ..... my postie rides one that has that hub, maybe I can make a deal .....

Velosteel. Speedy Cycles in Wynberg (Cape Town), under R300. They even have a variety of spares for them. Nothing cleans up the lines of a bike like a coaster hub. No clutter.

i Left a few Kilometers of black rubber on today ride.. i need to get used to that brake.... but had a good ride today.. find the 44x18 to be a bit light at 68.3 inches and would prefer a 17 tooth cog to bring it up to 72.3 inches ... yeah yeah i know not much difference, but that's my happy ratio.

I'm happy with the horns. this been my first bike with them on... what a big difference they make.over my other Viner with Mtb bars that have been shorted.
