Meneer - we need pictures of your new machine please!

Is it possible to become a distributor for chinese companies? I thought they sell to anyone and everyone.

WOW just saw the pics, looks fantastic! Wheels? What are you getting?

I cant see this being a viable business, problem is that buying Chinese is always going to be pretty niche in SA. There are a few guys happy to get some bikes and bits that way but not enough to make it a viable business, you need to be shipping big loads to cut the shipping costs and get discounts on stock. I dont feel in SA that there is the volume yet. I dont want to order a set of hoops through you, then have to wait for you to fill a half container or whatever, the wait for the stuff to land in SA, then have you post it to me. I would rather spend a bit more and either order myself, or get from CWC or chainreaction. My 2c worth.

That being said what price can you get me on a 60 mm carbon clincher wheelset, I would prefer an alu brake surface? like the Planet X wheels. I can get the Planet X wheels here for about R7k

I would want a carbon 29er frame, seatpost, stem and handlebars by the end of the year and I'm also in Potch until the end of the year :)

Anyway the reason I would not want to do it myself is that I don't know anything about customs, import duties etc and would be too scared that I order a frame from their site and it costs me say R4000. By the time it has landed in my hands it cost me R7000 cause of something I wasn't aware of in the process of getting it from China to me.

If it was/is as simple as ordering from the site, paying for the shipping and receiving it without any hidden costs I would've done it myself

It really is just that...was also sceptic and nervous. They are super professional. DIY I say

Of course most important is checking, double checking and then triple checking the sizing and geometry because once it's here it's yours.

Yea but that is homework you must do....they do check their current stock levels of your choice and manages your expectations well ito when it will be shipped.
