Close call - Always use your lights when dark!

Okay so I had a pretty close call today.

It was getting dark and I thought screw it I'll do the last run home without putting on my helmet light as there was enough street lighting. Big mistake on my part.

Have a look: PS camera has very bad low light recording it was a bit more lit then it shows in the video, anyways...

Now in my defense I would not have tried to pass that car if I knew they had the intention of turning right, you know that is why that smartass engineer placed that indicator switch inside the car <_<

Eish! Yoh! But I do have to laugh that you switched on your camera as more important than the light.

I forgot my front light the other night; nearly hit a pedestrian. Shame, and she was the one who apologised. Even one of those baby flashers is better than nothing.

Camera gets mounted before I go ride and switched on together with the carmin when I start my ride. The sun was still out and shining.

You must have kakked big time.. Did they even realise?

Yea when I was nearly against her tinted window just before I managed to stop. The drivers eyes was like saucers staring at me like where the hell did I come from. Well you would have seen me if you used your mirror and not tint the **** out of your windows and use your indicator was my first thoughts :whistling:

Your heart tate must have touched 200 bpm! I ride lights front and back all the time.

174 bpm according to my carmin

unfortunately using indicators for many people is something they do only when they have to, much like taking a curve and staying in their lane - they only do it when someone is around - so they think it doesn't matter, so when not seeing you, this woman obviously didn't bother. Glad you're ok and lesson learned - Make it easier for them to see you.
