Tell us, what would make you happy ?

What do you suggest ?

Let me say this and nothing personal against you.

People simply don't understand or believe in genetics.

They all think that with lots of miles in the saddle one would reach podiums.

It's this same level of not understanding that makes then as cynical as they are.

Sometimes and sometimes too often, freakishly gifted people come along.

Ryan Sandes is another great example of that.

I hear you. But do you honestly believe that theres only one genetically gifted individual? Every single TDF rider has it in their DNA. Theres no way a donkey can do the TDF.

And didnt we hear the whole "genetically advanced" argument with LA for years?

excellent comparison...if he did in cycling, what he did in his first year of competitive running...doping sceptics would be having wet dreams

Anton,

you get personal and attack anyone who disagrees with you.

Lets just have a civilised discussion without all the personal attacks

Saying cyclists don't deserve the benefit of the doubt is becoming personal as well, I retaliate poorly against stupidity.

Anyone can call names and get personal - its easy.

His point is very valid and relevant. Its time to stop all this emotional fanboy BS and start asking the hard hitting questions based on logic and reasoning. Professional cyclists today do not deserve the benefit of the doubt and are going to have to do far more than lip service to prove their innocence.

But but.... Are you saying ALL professional cyclists are assumed to be guilty of doping just because they are professionals or just because they win the TDF?

Either way what happened to innocent until proven guilty?

The issue is why be so obsessive about Froome, other than winning the TDF what has he done to be labeled as a doper? Is it really that hard to believe that one person can win by such a small margin (Nearly 84 hrs of racing), its not like Froome is a newby or total unknown quantity doing his first grand tour.

Based on Fands "if its to good to be true" philosophy why is no one making a song and dance about Quintana's performance?

Are you a South African male?

If yes are you a rapist?

Devil's advocate steps into the ring....

Lance was "genetically advanced". Unfortunately he was chemically enhanced as well. I don't think that anybody can say for certain that there is absolutely no doping happening. People like Tyler Hamilton were able to lie with no conscience to the people closest to them for years.

Before I get bounced, there are surely people that are clean but I believe that there are also those that are juicing to stay in/ahead of the game. The ratio has swung though.

Please explain.

Unfortunately the sport is tainted with doubts and it has become more natural from history to believe anyone showing outstanding performance to not be seen as great these days but to be questioned.

Anyone who is doing that is being attacked by you and SwissVan. Why not put away insults and discuss this.

Though I don't think any of you will ever come to a conclusion except maybe in 10 years time when one of you are proved wrong.

Everyone has a right to their opinion.

You guys play nice...

If froome doped Usada/UCI would have known by now. (After the whole LA 'f up')

They're probably examining his turds as we speak.

Unless Sky has more connections than the Queen.

Which i doubt.

Loads of talented cyclists out there, not many make the final step to being world class.

Let’s bring in the case of Burry Stander here, only really to show how silly it is to constantly query Froome’s performances without any real evidence.

Talented cyclist, as a junior no one can doubt that.

Won the world u23 title and a top20 at the Beijing Olympics. Was consistently in top 20 at world cup level.

In 2009 he signs up with a new team, gets a new bike, new sponsors and management. He went from bloody good to world class. Very marked improvement, could be put to a number of things. When he and Sauser basically dominate the cape epic for the next four years (not always winning the top spot for various reasons), we celebrate his talent.

Why can’t we do the same for Froomedawg.

We not meant to be happy when other people start succeeding in life

Absolutely - lets celebrate his talent and not constantly question it - hey if anything dodgy ever turns up I am happy for someone to point at me and say I told you so... but for now.... lets enjoy it!

What about the latest history which indicates that the current crop are racing cleaner than the historical crowd you are referring to?

Not attacking anyone, offering my opinion and arguing yes but not attacking.

As per my last post, why is no one questioning Nario Quinatana's results, especially if the questions are arising due to "come from nowhere" ideal? After all the man won 2 jerseys overall and rode away from Froome on one of the stages at least.
