so what you need from AC/DC :)

A capacitor for my pool pump. After struggling for a few weeks getting the creepy to work as advertised I decided to completely overhaul the pump yesterday. After opening it I am not surprised the kreepy didn't work. The impeller was very worn and the impeller housing was cracked badly. Anyway changed absolutely everything I could. Put it back in and it works like a treat. Then last night I switched off to backwash etc and it wouldn't start again, just hummed. Hummed for a few seconds and then just died so I am hoping it is just the capacitor and then some sort of heat protection shutoff(the capacitor did smell a bit dodge). Last time I bought one was a few years back and it was R90 from Riaan Pool and a buddy bought one from ACDC the same week for R20. So I will sommer go straight to them but googling prices it seems they have gotten expensive. Buliders and pool shops seem to be charging over R300.

R300 at a pool shop, R20 at AC/DC, sounds about right.

We have an AC/DC that open just around the corner from me, i have not been able to visit as it closes at 1pm on a saturday.

The AC/DC in this picture is right around the corner from you. In that centre by Gelmar, next to the flea market.

I wonder what the kid on the backseat filled his mouth with, looks like he put everything he had to eat in his mouth at once. [emoji1]

For the Landy lovers5d48039446652dc15e47a701422720be.jpg

...................Turning circle = Serengeti Plains...................but I love mine, even though I am now seriously considering buying something else. I looked at the new Defender and decided that it is way too larney a car for what I want to do with mine.

Can't agree with you more ... … mine, a Cruiser, not a Landy, was stolen recovered, shot full of holes by the police trying to apprehend the thieves ….. and classified as code 3. The insurance company had it fixed and I decided that I would ride it until the wheels come off.

But the wheels do not want to come off.

Seems as long as I keep feeding it oil and diesel it keeps on going … hehehe

And it’s the perfect vehicle for going where you’re not suppose to go without feeling sorry for the paintwork ……  :)

I have one of these. I swore it would NEVER break and then out of the blue last year it broke a valve stem and stuffed the motor up badly. But now, for a not-so-reasonable amount of cash, it is running again and I swear it will NEVER again break down. Except of course for punctures - the terrain where it lives, is terrible on side walls, especially if you use it off road. We sommer permanently keep 2 spares on the back, a pump and some tyre-weld permanently behind the drivers seat.
