So Yamaha might be in with a chance?  :whistling:  (that is if they can make up the +- 15km/h top speed deficit.)

That top end deficit is now down to around 7km/h according to the speeds at Sepang, so yes, a favourable tyre will definitely see the Yamaha's up there.

Motogp app has a short interview with Ducati riders hinting at them testing a new trick where they can lower the ride hight on the straights.

I watched an analysis of it last night. Yes, they use a mechanical system because anything hydraulic or electronic is banned.

I Watched footage of Jack coming out of a corner and dropping the suspension in 2 very noticeable steps. I have to admit that I was a bit confused but think that means that the benefit is on the straight with reduced drag and weight transferred backwards. I assume then that he jacks it back up at the end of the straight or just before that.

I can imagine all the others working on it as we sit here...

It might reset automatically when you hit the brakes perhaps.

I also think they might engage the "squat" exiting the corner already, would give them good drive. Explains all those last corner wins for Dovi with the improved drive. It would lead to more tyre wear though.

Seems all the manufacturers now have a holeshot device, Honda was the last but it was on Marc's bike yesterday.

The Suzuki and Aprilia are really, really impressive this year too........

Yes maybe but I would imagine that's too late and must surely be a big distraction. Although better to have it automated. Imagine if they forgot to reset it? And yes you're right, the footage I was showed it being activated while exiting a corner.

Agreed, it would pogo the front end with that extra weight from the rear transferring just as you are loading the front on the brakes. Probably as they pop out from behind the bubble they reset it. Tucked in it would fall easily to the thumb.

\The way Honda fit theirs looks like some techie spent Saturday night with some cable and alloy steel. Looks so bodged.

Qatar cancelled. Thailand probably cancelled.... sigh

Only the GP class cancelled for Qatar. Flight ban in some European countries is causing havoc.

Moto2 and 3 still happening as they are already in Qatar for testing.

It is definitely going to spice up this season. Rumours already floating around that the season might only start in Jerez in May...

And I thought waiting till now for the first race was tough......

I see the 2nd round for WSBK also looks like it might not happen. Also Qatar.

Was a good race this weekend at PI with WSBK at least.
