I got dropped at 9kms just couldnt hold the group.

Rode alone untill I got into a little group past Tarlton.

Got dropped by them as we went into cradle and rode the rest of the race by myself.

I am shattered but happy to finish

Did a 3-11

And to the cocktonsil on the 29er wheelsucking the entire race - you're a douche.

Seriously, what were you trying to prove? Thought you mtbers got those bikes to ride off road?

No problem wheelsucking but be prepared to be required to work. You were so freaking annoying man.

ROFL - what a legend! This is exactly why he did it. To ruffle some roadie feathers. Looks like it worked;)

Look on the bright side, you would have gone slower if he wasn't there.

No. I would have got a break if he actually did some work.

The guy was riding like a tool though. Swerving and pissing off traffic on our way to the caves... Seriously just don't need that on a ride...

Once a wheelsucker, always a wheelsucker. MTB or road - if you see the guy in front suffer, help him. Nobody is actually winning the race. A better time awaits all that help.

I don't wanna bring down the good vibes guys...race route was great....awesome scenery and variety. Was my first one, but i do need to say i was a little disappointed by the lack of organisation at the start/end regarding the starting pens and medals. Is it usually like that?...just seems cycling is getting less popular for sponsors if you compare it for example to the spar ladies race...what do you guys think?

I actually thought it was a bit above or on par. I started just after 7 and finished before 10, maybe it was just relatively quiet then. I saw a lady pushing a Pina Dogma up the last hill !!!!

Were there medals? For everyone that entered? I went straight to my car... Missed out..

Exactly!...oh well, race organisers went on the budget end of the spectrum regarding the medals...think mine will become an anti-taxi projectile or bottle opener...or perhaps any other recommendations?

Well organised race. Parking much better than last year and the marshalling was great.

Medals were handed out just after the finish line.

I agree - there was parking in abundance, ample toilet facilities, the group start times happened as scheduled, and the marshals were out in full strength. My only gripe is that I wish I could've pushed harder in the final 6km's, but that's something I need to work on
