Both excellent wheelsets, but for me it would be the Fulcrum's. I have the sister Campagnolo's and they're fantastic. The G3 pattern is both good to look at and great under pedal load.

Fulcrum's are 100g heavier than the Mavic's though. Price difference between the two?

Can't go wrong with either. Even though I don't like the looks of the Fulcrums, I really like them as wheels. Run fast, seem pretty solid and 100gms difference isn't even worth worrying about.

I'm sure it's been solved but wasn't there issues with the spokes / nipples of the Mavics recently? Could be wrong.

The Zero's are 1430g and Mavic's 1395g per pair. Personally I like Mavic and they have been around longer. The Zero's come with ceramic bearings if Im correct. Zero's are advertised for 12500 at Oom Chris. I see they sold out on Mavic but the SLR with the maxtal coating are 14500 including tyres. You need specific pads for those, not so with SLS.

Can only recall issues with older R-Sys with carbon spokes breaking but it was sorted.

If you are open to other suggestions, Shimano DuraAce C24 is the best one to go for imo.

Or if you looking at branching out American Classic make some nice hoops. Not sure what they are worth here but for that kind of money you could probably get their magnesiums or 2 pairs of 420s.

Went for fulcrum from cwc :) originally ordered c24's but there was an issue with stock after I paid so they gave me an option of the other two. Great service from cwc and great to see them quickly and easily fix an issue

I am using the Campag Shamals which are the equivalent wheel. They are great and with the ceramic bearings spin forever. I weigh 90kg and have never had a problem with them
