What sort of facilities do you have for non-riders? Coffee shop? Etc.?

Hi We've got a small coffee shop, serving basics like cooldrinks, tea/coffee and "Creative" Bacon/Egg rolls. Simple but nice. Toilets and an IGNITE braai-zone. Vistors can go for a walk or just chill in the shade.

You definitely need to. It's the perfect mix of trail. And enough climbing to make it a proper workout!

Had a lekker ride on the trails today. I really kakked off, with dubious fitness such as mine, it was a really challenging route.

 

Markings perfect, route awesome.... Temperature was high, should have started a lot earlier.

 

Personally, i think this place is perfect training for the monster.

 

Will definately be back.

So what to do? You're a trail owner having spent serious time and money creating awesome trails. Right now I am waiting for 6 illegal riders, who not only have not paid but are riding the CLOSED section of rinkhals regularly. Already these guys have compromised relations with the owners on this trail and the initial climb is now FORBIDDEN. Not sure how to control this. We expect rogue riders. That's natural but this situation is so delicate and after 2 years of negotiating has now been blown out!!!

Trespassing is still an offence. You need to make an example of these riders to maintain credibility with the surrounding land owners.

Eish Johan. Very delicate, but these riders are spoiling it for everyone that rides Hakahana. I think they need to be ashamed. Paying R40 to ride the trails you've build and invested in, is nothing. So, to "steel" R40 is just being a silly and (like I said) spoiling the great / awesome riding for every mountain biker that rides hakahana. I hope you can somehow control it / address it with them as I would not want to see hakahana be closed or sections not accessible due to this type of thing.

my suggestion would be get the cops involved and charge them with trespass with the owners help. the owner will see you are trying which may mend relationships
