Jason Posted August 29, 2006 Share Yeah I'm pretty sure they will have late entries. They always do. You might have to pay a little bit extra, nothing hectic, I'd say it would cost you about R400 for the race entry , just kidding maybe R30 or so more than the original. scotty Posted August 29, 2006 Share You should be able to, give the cycleab race office a call to be sure. Did it last year and it was a toughie, but there is a new longer route this year.

Jason Posted August 29, 2006 Share epoh dude, I might be going for an assessment on Saturday and then I am planning on doing some long slow distance training Sat/Sun... Maybe at Suikerbos on Sunday. I still need to see what's what. I will be thinking of you kicking ass.
Dr. Seuss Posted August 29, 2006 Share Cant figure out the route. Is it going over the 800m gravel section just before the Rhino Reserve / Wonder caves?Does it go up Hekpoort?I see some serious traffic issues at the Lanseria intersection and the section at Cedar road! Imma be up against all the Orange, Cyclelab and Bionic boyz again. It is quite a technical/strategic race and I don't wanna be going with every attack thinking this is gonna be the one getting away.. I will burn myself out! And I know how these guys ride (I dont have a problem with that, Cycling is a team sport but it is a problem for me ).. once they get okes in the break they sit back..then u struggle to get guys to work with you and when you are tired the guys that had okes in the break attacks you ! It is tough out there man

Dr. Seuss Posted August 30, 2006 Share Hope this 80 km/h wind disappears! It can get rather hectic after Wonder Caves.
Jason Posted August 30, 2006 Share I see you go over a bit of gravel road... is it that the one there by the Lion Park? If so, it's pretty rough, I feel sorry for the bikes going over there at 50kph+ and then up Hekpoort. Should be fun.
Dr. Seuss Posted August 30, 2006 Share Yep - that?s the one.Strange how one always manages to find little excuses for not wanting to race even though you know that you have to!
