I am looking for a shorter stem, and all Dial'd Bikes'stems are out of stock. The above stem is a Spank Royala Timer stem from Rush Sports for R405. Bargain?

Excuse the crap bike photo

The stem would work, Colour doesn't suit the bike really. Go with black, or if you want a bit of bling, red might look cool.

Just remember if you go with a shorter stem, you might have to adjust the saddle position.

Will work if you add some more gold accents: chainring bolts, seatpost clamp, etc. Gold stem on its own wouldn't do it for me.

Unless you had one of these...

At least NSBB can add some value as to why my statement is "bull dust"

You as usual adding no value..

Quite simple, the saddle position and height has nothing to do with the reach, also the length of the stem is not always in relation to reach, but sometimes to do with how quick or slow the rider wants his bike to respond when he turns the bar.

It grates my short and curlys when people dish out poor advice as you did.

The most important factor I consider when choosing stem length.

Was that so hard? To give a decent answer without being douchy about it first?
