You will not regret spending the money.

Exactly! One of places you don't skimp is saddle, shoes and gloves. Those are the three major contact points on the bike and also where discomfort on rides first appear.

And you are enjoying every moment. Posting pics of your rides for us to view and enjoy.I agree on the importance of a decent saddle.I personally think that the shoes and gloves story is a load of crap.

You are welcome to pop over and have a "look-feel-sit-on-try-out" before you hit the buy button*. I stay close to the Spruit in Blairgowrie.

*I take no responsibility for you falling in love with blinged up 26" trail bikes after this experience :P

oooooh yeah ... are these pretty standard otherwise or custom builds?

putting a pricey saddle on a higher end bike makes sense, otherwise it's like sticking a Ferrari badge onto a mazda 323

I have one of those Specialized ladies saddles, you know the one where you have your behind measured.. I've had it for about 2 yrs I think, very happy with it.

Honestly. Whatever works for your behind and you like its looks. The Speed She was under R300 when we got them.

[edit to add]

The Selle Italia Diva was 5 times the price and less comfortable for my girls but it looks very nice. They didn't like it...
