Crow, did u make that hairpin on SS3? i think that's stupid, to not put a warning up for u-turns.

Oh My HAT.. is Meurant still pulling the benders?

Each day of the 3 day enduro had you guessing how fast to enter. One trail lead you through a long steeep down, so long it left me with tunnel vision only to get to a bend at the bottom where the 'light' should have been.. ha ha those who went over surely found the light coz the general idea was just to gunn-it! Real on-your-toes stuff!

Which 3 day Enduro?

Dirtopia festival 2012.

Just to say that if there is another one this year, I am there like a beer! The track was so sweet, included a few lush river sections and constant variety. Sorry I missed this one, sounds like it was a blast, was really looking forward to riding with friends and meeting some of you other mullets!

meurant pulled some sneaky trail building on SS3.. i mean, you can absolutely rip at stupid speed along that route, but then the trail would inexplicably veer around nothing... and you didnt dare go off trail because the ground was very soft with very high potential for front wheel wipe out. It was as you said: on-your-toes stuff...aka wtf was that?

Loved that stage 2! Tunnel vision of note :). Noticed a lot of brown shoulders coming off that stage-and just in case you made it through unscathed, the tag reader was put right next 2 wattle stumps, so that you had to place you wheels right inbetween them, all while trying to brake (offcamber) before smashing into the vineyard and getting your tag to read. Good times!

Guest Omega Man

so I noticed a few guys riding with urge enduro matics. How was the heat? or how is the ventilation in those?

If you want one try one on first. The fit is a bit different and the "adjustment" is by way of thicker and thinner pads. There's no floating cradle like you get in most AM lids. I tried one and it just didn't work for me.
