Hi all.

I want to buy a new set of wheels for my roadbike.

I have to choose between the AC Sprint 350 and the Easton EA90 SLX.

I am leaning to the Sprint 350, because a friend's Eastons gave him a lot of problems.

Is AC good?

Any reviews would be appreciated.

Thanks

PS; I can only chose between these 2 and no other brand.

Brand new or second hand?

I had a set. I bought mine second hand and nearly killed myself when the free hub gave in on a long climb. It cost me R650 to repair. It was repaired by the official American Classic importers in Cape Town as my LBS were unable to repair the problem. About 6 month after the repair, I found that there was a recall on these wheels for a failing freehub. I contacted them to find out why they had charged me when the were part of a recall. They never provided me with a satisfactory answer. Like an idiot, I never took up the fight.

Other than that, they are pretty good wheels and must be one of the lightest clinchers available. The new ones would have had the freehub problem sorted out.

I am currently running a set on my Trigon RQC 29 and love them! Been riding them for a year and absolutely no problem. Good weight and super strong

Do you use them for trainning and racing?

The Easton's are fantastic. My wife races them, very light and stiff with ceramic bearings but if you are heavier look at the EA90 sl which are heavier and stronger or the AC 420 Aero 3 which I used at 92 kg no problem.
