Just wanted to rave about some excellent service I got at Trail and Tar in Tokai yesterday.

Cycled from home up to Tokai, started gently up Fairy Garden and then heard a loud creak from my crank as I put the power down to climb. I didn't think anything of it, until both my chainrings fell off 20m later. Turns out I'd los all four of my chainring bolts. Looks like I'd lost two previously, as I could only find two male bolts lying on the trail.

Pushed / freewheeled my bike down the hill to Trail and Tar, and they made a plan for me with some secondhand bolts they had lying in their toolbox. Bent over backwards to help me, and to top it all of, didn't charge me a cent.

Big up guys!!! I will go out of my way to support u guys!! Another feather in the little LBS cap vs online vs megastores (CWC, Cyclelab, etc)

Keep it up guys, excellent service will always be rewarded with customer loyalty!

One of the mechanics there is a very good friend of mine, and the other one is my brother. Both top guys always willing to help out.

Jimmy, do you realize that you can NEVER become a politician? Openly stating your vested interest like that? They'll never allow someone as honest and upfront on a ballot paper! ;)

But I agree on Trail & Tar. I also like how they stepped up to the plate making Tokai safer by sponsoring an after hours security guard for the parking area!

Have to agree, they are awesome. They are my first call for if i need anything. Just realized now, i actually drive past 3 other bikes shops before I get to them.

Please let them know that I really appreciated the help on Saturday. Without their help I would have had to walk home 10km. As it is I finished my ride and was back for more today.
