To the crackenfail folks...please help

Can get a really good deal on the 2012 105 model, is it basically still the same bike except groupo and wheels?

Also if anyone knows of good dale deals please post it here.

I have a CAAD5 (from CAAD4), lovely bike if that's any help

Ta thanks K

They seem to be a great piece of kit, even in this carbon world. I think the 2012 frame vs the 2013 frame is the same, just a new paintjob, maybe someone can confirm. And the difference between the 105 vs Ultegra versions is the groupo(duh) and wheels.

Firstly, I never thought I'd see the day...

Secondly, in my limited experience, I would think that the 2012 and 2013 are the same frame with different paint. The CAAD10 is a very highly rated alu frame, as it's incredibly stiff and sometimes touted superior to a few carbon offerings.

Thirdly, as a MTBer, I would reckon that a CAAD10 frame with a 105 gruppo will be more than awesome, if it's going to be your fourth bike... Shimano 105 is the Toyota Camry of groupsets, so you won't have any problems there, despite not being used to any gears at all..

As far as I know Cav rides a CAAD 10, so he could probably give you great feedback.

Just do it. Once you are there, you will change your opening line for sure..

I ride a CAAD10 Rouxtjie, it's an awesome machine.

I built up a 2011 frame which I got new and it is exactly the same as the 2012 and 2013 but for the paint jobs.

I just bought my wife the 2014 bike and it has internal routing on the rear brake cable but is otherwise identical.

Buy the one with the nicest paint or the one you get the best deal on.

You can't go wrong!

I have had my Cad 3 for more than 14 years and I am a solid 90+kg's. They brilliant bikes and will outlast any other.

The CAAD 10 is just brilliant and with the new 105 you wont go wrong.

Basically a bulletproof set-up.

Something to remember with Cannondale, if you ride a 58cm frame you could very possibly get away with a 56cm in Cannondale.

Yea apparently they have longer than normal toptubes. Having done some of the measurements myself, it seems I will be a 54 on most roadbikes, however in cannondale I might take a 52...

Yip, EZRider has hit the nail on the head, they have not changed the Frame (how do you get better) so all there are just minor changes and paint job changes.

One word of warning, hope you like speed Routjie - they are fast !!

I ride a Six-13... love it! If ever anything happens that requires me to replace that bike, it will be with a CAAD10. You can't go wrong...

Enjoy it - whichever one you end up getting!

Hey Nic, my wife finished 16 in her cat at the 94.7 on her new CAAD so money well spent!

Hijack on: blew my savings on a Flash, just couldn't help myself. Poorer now but faster...

Hijack off. (sorry Rouxtjie)

No sweat dude, caad 10 it is it seems....the 2012 model is the white one / luiqigas scheme though. Care rocks, still think it looks hot but would have loved the stealthy black ninja colour scheme.
