par with many marquee trails in the Alps.

I agree with you there. And from me praise does not come any higher.

First time I went there I didn't get what all the fuss was about. Loads of jeep track and not much else. You need to spend time there or better ride with someoeb or rob a route off garmin connect like I did.

There's a good idea. Anyone have a garmin route or activity they care to share?

Otherwise would Welvanpas be a better option - it seems to consist of specific marked routes?

My last encounter at jonkers I:

Climbed to the start v canaries and then down (1st time I did them, wow was amazing).

Climbed to the start v Never Never Never ending story, and then down. Also never did all three before. Was looking out for those blue portable toilets when I saw the "compulsory portage" sign. Thought I was supposed to make a compulsory #2.

Then went to the quary and did the singletracks down to car park..

What a 32km blast man! Yoh! Next time gonna include the climb to the fire hut too.

Try to rack up as many singletracks as possible!

Thanks to all for the great work out at Jonkershoek

That sounds like a good day out Taahirwp...but you missed the new Black Diamond Enduro trail...which is a not insignificant six levels of descending.

Jonkershoek is a much more substantial day's riding than most people would believe, which is why you should best go there with a local first time around. As mentioned, the trails do not link in a conventionally logically manner.

Nice vids Nico. Wife's seat issues sorted?

Shot. Ja, the old seatpost is back on so no more pedaling a jump bike up Jonkers ;)

We must make a plan for a ride together there ASAP!

Gonna be in Cape Town with my bike over Easter - would love to ride here. Can I get a map somewhere? Otherwise, where do I find a local who could show me around? Have to get re-acquainted with the bike after 3 years of part-time studies, though - so I'll need a patient local to show me around
