Economic sanctions? You mean you not coming down here for December?

Naah reckon not sending electricity down will do the trick.

At some stage you will have to accept that CPT's only function is as holiday resort to the economic engine of the country...US VAALIES

We have a nuclear power station. Don't think we rely at all on jhb for power. It's not too bad living on vacation.

We're clever like that. We sit around, on holiday, all year, and just wait for you to come and spend your hard earned cash here. Paying ridiculous amounts of money for housing, restaurants, etc.

So, thanks for working for both of us - I appreciate it.

PS. Not so much thanks for bringing SA e-tolls. You can keep those.

Had a feeling the post wold provoke some reaction (not that hard to get Capetownians worked up about their dig).

In terms of electricity supply. I suggest you have a look at the difference between the output of your nuclear station and the consumption of the wider CPT area. If you have to make that work you will have to get used to a looooot of load shedding.

Sure but would not know what to do on a Fri without some inter provincial rivalry??[/size]

All tongue in cheek, and good fun

Before worrying too much about Western Cape supply, why dont you consult your clever government up North and ask them to cut supply to all these neighbouring countries (see link for details), maybe, just maybe we wont have to load shed afterall....

Probably depends what your definition is of "bad drivers". Yes Cape Town has more fatalities per year than Johannesburg (likely becasue our traffic physically move faster than "only fenderbender pace" ) but the Joburg cops issue in excess of 300 000 speeding fines a month vs 10% of that in Cape Town- proving a disregard for the law is stock standard up North... We can see it in Cape Town's crime stats shooting through the roof when parlement is in session as well.

But in seriousness, we are quite chilled, chilling down here waiting for the vaalies to spend some cash- its 1st of December..... Welcome to Cape Town!
