**Not sure if this has been started already. I did look through a couple of pages but couldn't find anything. Apologies if I've doubled up**

---------------------

So who's trying to shake off the extra kg's from xmas with this little leg stretcher?

70kms including Old Boyds shorts side, Ou Kaps short side, a bit of Blackhill then a blast through Smit's, misty, oceanview and home.

Could be a tough day considering a couple of nasty climbs early on and an almost guaranteed high pace due to the short course.

70 km: From the school in Fish Hoek, cyclists will head out along Fish Hoek Main Road to Kalk Bay to tackle Boyes Drive. Turn left at the Westlake Golf course towards the Westlake Business Park and left again for the second big climb of the day, Ou Kaapse Weg. At the four-way Sun Valley intersection, cyclists will continue over Blackhill and then head out along the coast to Simons Town, Smitswinkel and Misty Cliffs. Turn right at the Soetwater intersection to Ocean View and again right onto Kommetjie Road to the finish. There will be a neutral zone back to the school.

Edit: Anyone got a profile of the route / gain?

Yeah... wondering if it's worth taking a quick spin up there to remember what I'm in for or just hit it with blind ignorance.

Rather NOT remind yourself :) Take it as it comes on Sunday. Early weather prediction say hectic wind!!

yes, but first secure your entry before you have a practice, don't want mind changing afterwards

I did it twice last week, slow and steady, still the same. that last stretch as you take the bend then you realise there is still a bit of climbing left until silvermines
