Butterbean Posted January 7, 2014 Share Sounds dodgy from the off... The scam test is always to view before you buy... Not easy when they're somewhere else, but just say you're in PMB and want to take a look to make sure of sizing... Otherwise ask for ridiculous specs, like a spez epic with ultegra and 60mm wheels... Scammers will normally agree to anything for the deposit to happen...

NixM Posted January 7, 2014 Share Spez don't allow online sales of their bikes or frames. I had to get someone to physically walk into and pay for for a frame in a LBS in Australia then courier it to me in SA. The LBS was adamant they could not post it themselves to myself or a friend in Sydney.

Shebeen Posted January 8, 2014 Share The fact that this scheister can continually operate scams off the same cellnumber just proves how useless the whole RICA process is.I’d dump a whole load of fake adverts on gumtree with his cell number to waste his time, BUT the fact that he uses the same number is a foolproof way to blacklist any site he starts. johannrissik Posted January 8, 2014 Share ABSA are in the process of blocking the account. Inspector Joe Massapous signing off. Even though it's tempting to phone him from the payphone at the Magistrate's Court again...... eeeek and Caerus
Baaisikilist Posted January 8, 2014 Share IainW may have become 1 of the reasons these guys keep going. Thank goodness for the hub. But a lot of saps must be getting caught out. Think I might just start up a lil business like this myself.
