Was VERY good, not sure what it's like now though

It could thin the field out on a permanent basis that's for sure :D

Impression I got when I had a nose around there is that it just waiting for the opportunity to have another large part of it slide down the mountain.

I'll never be in that boat, unfortunately!

. Never say never.... Maybe a lion escapes from a local wild farm and starts running up one of the liaisons ? I'm pretty sure you'll surprise yourself !?

MatchStix: residing in Cape Town, I would say Southern Cape - so around 400/500km traveling. Depending on the course...and I suppose I am biased to that region knowing the potential it has for trails!

Deviate: Better get those trails prepped up in George bru! Time for some enduro up George side... You could have a really killer course on all the new stuff you have built as well as the old dh trails around Witfontien!

EDIT: I recon one could make some rad SS out in Eselfontein as well, Lebanon (Grabouw) would work a treat closer to home...

Mmm ii Wass thinking the same thing know of an old and now very lost downhill track that will make a great ride, also thinking along the lines of a 2 day event

Dude, one of the best DH tracks in SA that! There are so many little gems hiding in that area at the moment.

For sure - 2 day event would be radical, tricky though. One would have to think outside the box, but its possible

One could also look to Saasveld for some SS, otherwise we can do it 90's style - down the fire roads of Tierkop and Groenkop....scarey fast! Okes think they went quick on Sunday on the open road section at Steilte...think again!

The DH track I am talking abou we built around 1999 the last section was thenused as a hiking trail and now being ridden again. The saasveld single track is fun but to little altitude. The tierkop idea I like especially if it is as rockyas it was back then,
