Don't worry about the 1000's of riders after the Wa Pad climb it spreads out quite nicely.

on wa pad you will have more than enough company and after that you might find times where you feel alone

My 1st K2C and I'm a bit worried, can do 3-4hr rides comfortably and have done a 100km before, but still worried about the pace and 1000's of other riders. I have my granny gears though.

 

If it is your 1st one you are probably starting in G group? If so be prepared to walk up Ou Wa Pad. The congestion is bad.

Cheers Bud, will do. Got Hill 2 Hill the weekend before, so that'll give me some idea of how it'll go. Will still see you afterwards for an amber nectar Bud. I'll also send a pic of the cycling shirts we'll be in, if they'll be finished in time.

Last year I started in D group, was right in front and caught C group before Ou Wa Pad. Was passing C & B group riders going up, with quite a bit of congestion already. Strange how people in the front groups can't cycle up the first hill???

Maybe it's not them that were so slow but you that were too fast for your seeding group

This will be my 4th race and so far I've paid for daily liscence each time. Have no idea about starting groups or seedings, I'll start somewhere near the back half.

Last year I was lucky enough to start in B group. Had a guy in the same group that road a 3:45 Argus road. They used that time to seed him. He really chopped off and road a 6+hour. No bad luck at all, just could`nt climb.
